Ho Chi Minh City

In the south of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is a vibrant metropolis where modernity and tradition blend with energy. Between futuristic skyscrapers and bustling markets, the city offers a fascinating contrast. Ho Chi Minh City is ideal for travelers in search of urban excitement, and especially for those wanting to immerse themselves in the dynamic daily life of contemporary Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City is raw energy. Here, everything moves fast: scooters zip by in the thousands and markets overflow with life.

What do I recommend? Start your day with a Vietnamese iced coffee in a hidden café inside an apartment block in District 1, then wander through the alleys of the old Chinatown in Cholon. And to truly understand the city, nothing beats a night-time food tour. A gourmet immersion, to be experienced at the local rhythm.

What SEASON to go to Ho Chi Minh City?

The best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City is from December to April, during the dry season. The sky is often blue, the air drier, and temperatures range between 28 and 34°C, ideal for exploring the markets and bustling neighborhoods of the city. It’s also the most comfortable time to enjoy terraces and urban strolls.

From May to November, the rainy season brings regular showers, especially in the late afternoon. Humidity is higher, but the rains are generally short and the vegetation becomes more lush. Despite the heat, the city remains lively and activities continue, often with fewer tourists.
