It is a popular destination, known for its wide range of activities that cater to everyone's needs. Between colourful temples perched on the hills, hidden waterfalls deep in the jungle and traditional fishing villages, Koh Samui offers a rare balance between beachside relaxation and cultural discovery. It's the ideal destination for travellers looking for the good life.

Koh Samui is a bit like a summary of everything we love about Thailand: golden beaches, tropical jungle and that easy way of life that makes you forget the time. It's an island that moves to the rhythm of the sun and of smiles. My advice? Don't try to see it all. Just go with the flow. One morning, climb up to the Big Buddha to watch the sunrise and see the monks in their daily ritual. It's a moment of rare serenity.

In the afternoon, rent a scooter and head out for a ride around the island. Get lost around Mae Nam, where the crowds thin out. And if you like a local atmosphere, don't miss the Fisherman's Village night market: a mix of colours and smiles that sums up the spirit of Samui all on its own.

What SEASON to go to Koh Samui?

On Koh Samui, located in the Gulf of Thailand, go for the months of January to August. That's the ideal period: dry weather, calm sea and dazzling sunshine. April and May can be particularly hot, but the ocean breeze offers a bit of relief.

The rainy season, from September to December, turns the island into a quieter cocoon, with fewer travellers and lush nature. Each season has its own feel, but to make the most of the beaches, July and August remain the best time.
