Upon arrival at Hue train station, you will be greeted by a local French-speaking guide. Breakfast at a local restaurant.

You will visit the Citadel (Duration: 2 hours), which was built from 1804 under the orders of the first emperor Gia Long. Remarkable for its appearance of an entrenched fortress in the heart of the city, it occupies a perimeter of more than 10 kilometers. Inspired by Vauban's fortifications, it is composed of three parts: the capital city (Kinh Thanh), the The tour includes the Imperial Palace (Hoang Thanh) and the Forbidden City (Cam Thanh). It was largely destroyed in 1968 during the Vietnam War. Today, numerous endowments are used to restore and revive this invaluable heritage.

You will visit a local home to share a meal with a charming family. Your hostess will prepare Hue specialties as well as traditional Vietnamese dishes. She will share family stories and episodes from her life, as well as tell you about Vietnamese culture and Hue's culinary specialties. You will taste the various dishes during the meal before leaving your hostess.

The afternoon will be devoted to visiting the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, one of the most beautiful sites in Hue, which exudes tranquility and is a model of traditional Vietnamese art. It will also be an opportunity to learn about the history of the Nguyen Dynasty (16th – 20th centuries) and the French colonial invasion.

You will then drive to the Peaceful Bamboo Family Center. After a short walk through an alleyway, you will reach the main building, where you can enjoy cookies, jam, and herbal tea prepared by members of the disabled adults living in this community.

The Peaceful Bamboo Family is an education center for young people with disabilities, supported by the Eurasia Foundation and Association, which has developed seven education centers in Vietnam since 1999.
You will have the opportunity to interact with the young people at the center and visit the community's workshops: painting workshop, incense stick making workshop, lacquer workshop. You will learn how to choose plants from the garden to prepare herbal tea. After your tea break, you will be transferred to the hotel.
